We believe that the tour presents a very low risk of epileptic seizures. This is because the lighting effects do not involve high-frequency stroboscopic effects. However, this depends on individual photosensitivity and we cannot guarantee zero risk. The tour is therefore not recommended for people with epilepsy.
The tickets for the tour are non-refundable. You can make an exchange request via our online form at least 48 hours before the reserved date (this request is subject to the availability of places). No exchanges are possible on site or by phone.
You can present your ticket on your smartphone.
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed on the tour, as they are not allowed on the grounds of the castle.
We recommend you to book your ticket online in order to benefit from the desired time slot.
However, depending on ticket availability, a credit card only ticket office is open from 2pm to 11pm.
You can also buy tickets by credit card, cash or “chèques vacances” (from ANCV) from 9.30am to 8pm at the Carcassonne Municipal Tourist Office located at the Porte Narbonnaise (21 Rue Cros Mayrevieille, 11000 Carcassonne).
There are no accessible toilets along the tour, but you will find several public toilets in and around the medieval city of Carcassonne.
We do not offer catering services.
The Remparts et Lumières experience is aimed at all ages, young and old, and is particularly suitable for families with children (the visit is free for children under 7). However, the tour is not accessible to strollers and children who are not able to walk.
The tour along the ramparts of the medieval city includes steps and narrow passages, making it inaccessible to people with reduced mobility.
The Remparts et Lumières route is about 500 metres long. You can allow 45 minutes to 1 hour on the tour to fully enjoy your nocturnal adventure.
